This 5 Days Lake Mburo and Lake Bunyonyi Honey Moon Safari. Takes you to Uganda’s Smallest Savannah Park with a unique touch of wildlife mingling with large herds of the Ankole cattle existing together in Harmony. A boat rides on the Lake Mburo where you will see large concentrations of the hippos basking along the shores of the lake, unique water birds like the papyrus ganoleks and the plenty full Zebras and impalas are always food to your eyes. The safari later takes you bto Uganda’s Most beautiful lake Bunyonyi where you will experience the cold breeze and calm beautiful views of the Lake.

Itinerary

Day 1Pickup from your Lodge or agreed location and drive to Lake Mburo

You will be picked by your safari guide who will give you a short briefing about this 5 days Lake Mburo and lake bunyonyi safari. You will start your drive to Lake Mburo National Park through small urban centers along Kampala-Mbarara road and upon arrival, you will have an erote game drive where you encounter the true zebra magnet alongside other animals like buffalos, giraffes, and elands. From there check-in at the lodge lunch and for relaxation and dinner,

Day 2Explore Lake Mburo

Immediately after breakfast, your safari guide will lead you to the park for the morning game drive or for a community walk considering your choice you will see animals and the surrounding people co-existing. game drive in Lake Mburo will ensure you a view of herds of buffaloes, zebras, impalas, birds plus many more. From there transfer back to the lodge for lunch, some relaxation After lunch and relaxation, you will have a short drive to the lake to meet the captain lead you for about a two-hour boat cruise. On the Lake Mburo boat ride you will see hippos, crocodiles, water birds like the African fish eagle, and the rare African finfoot, various animal species such as buffaloes and antelopes gather along the shores to drink some water. After your boat cruise, you will get back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3Horseback ride and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

After early morning breakfast, you will meet the ranger guide who will brief you about the dos and don’ts while horse riding, from there you will be instructed on how to ride the horse and kick start these fun time moments and after that Check out of the lodge and drive to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale enjoying the views of the Virunga Mountains from a distance, rolling hills and rural homesteads in addition to natives of the area going-about their daily activities.

Day 4Full day at Lake Bunyonyi

Following a lovely breakfast at your pace, you will embark on a canoe to explore the wonders of the Uganda’s deepest lake dotted with 29 islands and various small birds. Among the islands is the famous punishment island where girls who got pregnant before marriage were thrown and starved to death. Visit the upside down island and sail back to your lodge for Lunch. After lunch, you may opt to go for ziplining along the Lake or swimming and later retur to the lodge for relaxation

Day 5Return to Kampala.

After your early morning meal, you will checkout of the lodge and bid farewell to this beautiful tranquil area. Drive through the rolling green hills and the winding black road back to the Capital city. You will have a stopover at the equator for Photography, water experiments and lunch break. Here you can buy some souvenirs to carry along as you go back home, after lunch drive to Kampala to end the Safari.
