This 5 Days Gorilla Safari, Bisoke & Lake Kivu Rwanda safari takes you for gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park Rwanda. Mt. Bisoke is an active volcano in the Virunga mountains of the Albertine Rift. Enjoy a canoe ride to see the fishing villages on Lake Kivu
First of all, you will be picked from your residence or Airport in Kigali by our safari guide. Go for a city tour where you will visit the Genocide memorial site. Have lunch and drive to Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Kinigi guesthouse (B.L.D)
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters to be briefed about the do’s and don’ts while with the mountain gorillas. Trek the volcanoes forest in search of the gentle giants. On finding, them spend an hour observing and taking pictures. After the memorable adventure with the gorillas, lunch at the lodge and also visit the twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo. Dinner and overnight at Kinigi guesthouse (B.L.D)
Early breakfast at your hotel and then head to the Kinigi headquarters for a briefing. Hiking mount Bisoke takes one day and is a tough hike requiring good fitness. By 7:30 am you will transfer to the head trail starting point of the hike. From here you get hiking sticks, and it’s necessary to hire a porter to carry your backpack. The park ranger will escort you to the top of the volcano. You will also see the beautiful crater lake on a bright day. Then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Kinigi guesthouse (B.L.D).
After breakfast, drive to Lake Kivu, have lunch and then go for a boat ride to spot numerous bird species. Visit the fishing villages, Islands like Amahoro, Napoleon, and Nkombo. Also, visit Nyamyumba hot spring. Check in the lodge of your choice for dinner and overnight at Paradise Malahide (B.L.D).
Finally, in the morning after breakfast, you will drive back to Kigali to catch your flight back home.
