Kyambura wildlife reserve is located in the western region of Uganda. It is found in the north eastern part of Queen Elizabeth national park. It covers an area of 156 square kilometers.
Queen Elizabeth national park is situated in the districts of Kasese, Kamwenge, Bushenyi and Rukungiri.
This national park is the second largest park.
Kyambura wildlife reserve is taken as a section of Queen Elizabeth National park, and it was created to act as a buffer zone for animals that come to drink water from the Kyambura gorge, which was formed by the water force from the Kyambura river.
Kyambura wildlife reserve, is surrounded by a valley and a rain forest and this makes it home to a large number of chimpanzees that swing and walk through the forest.
