8 Days Luxury Chimpanzee and Gorilla trekking

You will meet up with Pakasa Tours and safaris representative at the airport for a meet and greet, brief you about your 8- Days Luxury Chimpanzee and gorilla trekking safari and drive to your hotel for relaxation and prepare for your Adventure in the land of 1000 hills 

After an early breakfast, you will start the day with the visit to the genocide memorial where thousands of the victims of the Rwanda Genocide were laid to rest. you will learn about the dark history of Rwanda during the 1994 crisis and how it shaped the well being of the country. After the visit, you will start your drastic drive to Nyungwe National park through the lush green vegetation on the gently rolling hills to the hidden gem of Nyungwe. 

Following a n early breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while on this great trek. you are assigned an armed ranger and then you head out for the forest in search of our closest relatives. on locating a family, you are allowed an hour to watch while these creatures carry on with their daily routines. Fascinating things can be encountered on this trek to the chimpanzees. keep alert and pay attention to nature after the trek, you will head out for lunch and great ready for a canopy walk in the forest where different bird species can be sighted, water falls and a lot of the forest cover from the aerial view 

This day, you will have breakfast at your pace, and checkout from your accommodation and bide farewel to Nyungwe National Park as you head out for yet another beautiful destination lake Kivu 

Today all activities are at leisure, you can choose to remain in your hotel and relax as you the beautiful shore of lake Kivu. You can also engage in Activities like kayak, canoeing, on the lake as you wind on the beautiful memories you had in Nyungwe National park.

You will check out of your hotel and start your amazing drive to Volcanoes National park through the winding roads of Congo-Nile trial to the Northern part of the country to home of the Gorillas in Ruhengeri

The main highlight of the safari lies here. After an early breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for briefing and then head out for the great adventure. This trek requires a bit of physical fitness since it involves hiking and descending sharp slopes. It is a wonderful walk as you can encounter a variety of small primates like monkeys, baboons, variety of forest bird species some of which endemic to this region.

Once you reach the gorillas you are given an hour to watch and take photos and videos of these gentle apes as they carry on with their day to day activities, juveniles enchanting and playing around with the silver back watching every move of the family. 

After the trekk, you will head back to your accommodation for lunch  and relaxation and later head out to the community for walk.

After breakfast, this is our last adventurer in the land of 1000 hills. You will drive to the Iby’Iwacu cultural village for the the utmost experience of the rich Rwandan culture. where you will enjoy the Intore performing tradition folk songs, demonstrating on how to care for cattle, milking and the how the traditional  marriage ceremonies are carried out. after the rich experience. you will continue with your two hours journey to Kigali Airport to end the safari.
