5 Days Gorillas and Hiking Safari

You will be picked up the by Pakasa Tours and Safari company representative from the airport and brief you about your trip to the gorillas. Then you will drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park located in the south western part of the country driving through the winding roads and the rolling hills covered with green gives a fresh mind as you approach the home to endangered mountain gorillas .You will have a stopover at the equator for photography, lunch break in Mbarara before proceeding to your final destination. You will reach Mgahinga in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast , travel to the National Park headquarters to meet your guides for the day and begin your gorilla tracking experience .Experienced guides and trackers will accompany your party on an early morning trek into the dense rain forest . The journey through the dense forest is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. You will be given an hour to watch these gentle creatures in  doing their daily tasks like eating, building nests and the juveniles playing around as the silverback  keenly watch out for his family.  This is an experience you won’t soon forget. After the awesome adventure you will head back to the lodge for lunch, relaxation and get ready for a canoe ride on lake mutanda one of the most beautiful lakes in Uganda. Retire back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Following the early breakfast, go to the park‘s headquarters to meet your guides to begin your morning golden monkey trekking. This is an exciting activity where you get to encounter a very playful and active primate that live in large groups .They like spending most of their time on top of the trees feeding off bamboo shoots an hour observing their behaviors is an unforgettable, take as much photos  as you want before returning to the starting point. After the trek, you will head back to the lodge for lunch and refresh.

After lunch, you will have a cultural visit at the Garama Cave which was the hideout for the  Batwa pygmies from the mountain gorillas who were hunters and fruit gatherers. During this visit, you will enjoy cultural entertainment by listening to their amazing traditional songs, dances etc. After the visit, you will head back to the lodge foe relaxation, dinner and overnight.

After the breakfast, you will go for mountain climbing, Enjoy climbing adventure on one of the three volcanoes found in the park, Mount Sabinyo . so we recommend adventures climbers to have their excellent hike which provides remarkable opportunity of standing between Uganda. After mountain climbing, you will go back to the lodge for lunch, relaxation, dinner in the evening and overnight.

After breakfast, you will check out with the lodge, then embark on your journey back to Kampala, have a lunch break at Igongo Cultural Museum and then proceed to Entebbe International Airport for your flight.
