Ngamba Island Tour
1 Day Ngamba Island tour takes you to the chimpanzee sanctuary. This Ngamba Sanctuary is home to 49 orphaned chimpanzees. The Island is located in Lake Victoria, 23 km from Entebbe mainland. Ngamba Island is approximately 100 acres, 98 of which is the forest. These orphaned and confiscated chimpanzees were rescued from poachers throughout Uganda.
A 1 Day Ngamba Island Tour gives an exceptional chance to view the chimpanzees at a close range as they feed and as well as interact with each other. This is the Only place which does not restrict age unlike other chimpanzee tracking parks like Kibale National Park, Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth and Budongo Forests in Murchison falls.
Our Guide will pick you, brief you about the 1-day Ngamba Island tour; then transfer you to the prior on Lake Victoria for your boat ride to the Islands. The boat ride takes 45 minutes, crossing the equator to the island. Upon reaching the sanctuary the caretakers will brief you about 1 Day Ngamba Island Tour and the chimpanzees. You will view either a morning or afternoon feeding of the chimpanzees; from the visitor’s platform along the edge of the sanctuary fence.
Observe the chimpanzees grooming and interacting with one another.
After this wonderful experience, enjoy your lunch. Then later enjoy swimming, take pictures of the Equator, fishing, birding, or just sunbathe and relax.
Transfer back to the mainland and thereafter Our driver will pick you up and drop you at your residence.
