Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and a professional guide will transfer you to the lodge for an overnight stay at Protea Hotel Entebbe. (B.B).
Meet the tour guide at the hotel for a briefing and transfer driving south-westwards with a stopover at the equator line in Kayabwe for a water experiment and pictures.
Drive time is approximately 9-10 hours. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Dinner and overnight at Haven lodge Buhoma. (BLD)
The trek is the highlight of the Safari. Meet at park headquarters early at 7:00 am for a pre-trekking briefing where you will be grouped and a ranger assigned to each group. At 8:00 am the gorilla tracking adventure begins. Rally behind the experienced armed ranger as he gives you all the information concerning the Gorillas. Upon finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour of taking pictures and observing their fantastic way of life. Later return to your Lodge for lunch and leisure. In the evening visit, the Batwa pygmies for a cultural experience as you learn their way of life. Dinner and overnight at Haven lodge Buhoma. (BLD)
After your breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spot large herds of Uganda kobs feeding in the plains as you enter the park through Ishasha sector the south of the park. Check-in to your Lodge take lunch and go for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge. (B.L.D)
Early in the morning, drive to Kasenyi tracks to see the early risers plus other animals such as lions, antelopes, elephants, and buffaloes. Take Lunch and in the afternoon enjoy a thrilling boat cruise on the Kazinga channel as you get a closer view of large schools of hippos, crocodiles and various bird species like malachite kingfishers, pink-backed pelicans and saddle billed stork. Take breakfast and drive to Kibale Forest National park arriving in time for lunch and leisure. In the evening take a nature walk in Bigodi swamp. The swamp is home to several bird species and primates like black and white colobus, vervet and red-tailed monkeys. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest Camp. (BLD)
Early after breakfast, with packed bags, check out of your lodge and drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about the chimpanzees trekking. Rally behind the armed park ranger as you walk in search of the chimpanzees. You will see a variety of bird species, monkeys. The tracking may take 2-6 hours and this will depend on where you find the Chimpanzees. Afterward, transfer to Fort Portal. Dinner and overnight at Fort Motel. (BB)
Transfer to Murchison Falls.
After breakfast, you will cross the Nile to the Northern bank where game drives are mostly done. Enjoy the game drive searching for giraffes, Hyenas, lions, Leopard, elephants, and hartebeest. After return to the lodge for a hot lunch followed by a 3 hours thrilling boat cruise upstream to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. This cruise will offer you a closer view of the mighty waterfall of the River Nile. Expect to see hippos and Nile crocodiles; as well as elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks along the shores. The river bank also has a variety of bird species including the rare shoebill stork. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Murchison River Lodge. (BLD)
Today is the final day of your safari. Take breakfast, check out of the lodge and then drive to Kampala. Stop over at Ziwa rhino sanctuary to track Rhinos. Later on, take lunch and your driver guide will drop you at the airport in time to catch your flight back home.
